Nisqually Delta BMA (10E)

Introduction
A 10-square mile area around the City of Roy is part of the Nisqually Delta BMA. It's designator is 10E or Roy.
The Nisqually Delta is the third BMA where a bioblitz was conducted by the Pierce
County Biodiversity Alliance (PCBA).
There are 467 parcels within 10E and 10 landowners with 27 total parcels allows the bioblitz experts and citizen scientists to
inventory their lands. The sites are scattered across a few miles, and divided into three general survey areas.
Roy Bioblitz Results (2009)
May 15-16, 2009. Roy Rodeo Hall was "Science Central" where all the scientists, staff, and volunteers gathered.
Over 50 scientists, taxa experts, volunteers, land owners and news media participated in the
24-hour inventory of birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, insects, and plants.
