What am I?

1. My face is always brown, but the rest of me varies from black to almost white.
2. I am an omnivore. I eat berries, nuts, carrion and insects.
3. You may see me in forested areas across North America.
4. I am mostly nocturnal, but sometimes I am seen in the daytime.
5. My young are born in winter. I am big, but they are very small, each weigh 7 – 12 oz.
6. I belong to the family URSIDAE (UR-sid-dee).
