This dowitcher is found in large flocks on beaches and mudflats along both US coasts, Baja California, Mexico, the southern states and Florida north to Georgia. It breeds along the south coast of Alaska and in the northern Canadian provinces as far east as Quebec.Text edited by Gussie Litwer
