Year around, this dove can be found in Mexico. There are some winter populations in southern Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. It nests singly or in large colonies in dense mesquite, mature citrus groves, riparian woodlands, and saguaro-paloverde deserts, and breeding birds can be found in southern Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and the north part of Mexico.
