The Bonaparte's Gull is found wintering along the west coast in the State of Washington all the way south to Mexico. It breeds in Alaska, the Yukon, the Northwest Territories, as well as across Canada. Fairly common but local winter Washington resident. Common spring, fall migrant in western lowlands.
