Breeding Range Map
The green area shows the predicted habitats for breeding only. The habitats were identified using 1991 satellite imagery, Breeding Bird Atlas (BBA), other datasets and experts throughout the state, as part of the Washington Gap Analysis Project. Habitats used during non-breeding months and migratory rest-stops were not mapped.

This species is locally common on offshore islands along Washington's outer coast between Gray's Harbor and Cape Flattery.

Good habitats in core areas of use were coastal habitats in the Sitka Spruce limited to Tatoosh, Mid Bodelteh, East Bodelteh, Carroll, Jagged, Kohchaa, Dhuoyautzachtahl, and Alexander Islands.

Data are scarce from the BBA period for colonial nesting seabirds due to logistical problems of censusing offshore islands.
