Habitat
Entered Washington from the south about 1912 and has spread north to the Yakima area. Habitat use in Washington now includes oak/grassland, grassland, pasture, and alfalfa fields if they are near rock outcrops or talus.
Core in all the zones in which it occurs: the steppe zones in Klickitat, Yakima, and Kittitas Counties, and Oak, Ponderosa Pine, Willamette Valley, and Western Hemlock zones. Good habitats include, bare ground, riparian, pastures, non-forested, and open forest.
