Habitat
Occurs from sea level to timberline in coniferous forests throughout the area west of the Columbia River and south of Lake Chelan on the east side of the Cascade Crest. Found in all conifer forests in this range. Largely pushed out of high-density development but found in some large city parks with native coniferous tree species. Found in the Puget Trough where there are significant stands of conifer forests.
Core zones include all wooded zones west of the Columbia Basin. Good habitats in core zones were all conifer forests. Adequate habitats include mixed forest, low density development, and wooded parks, with conifers.
