Metadata (Data about data or how the map was made)

Merriam's Shrew occurs in the Columbia Basin and its margins. Its lower elevation limits in the Basin appears to be about 1200 feet and the upper elevation limit about 3000 feet. Elevation limits in the Blue Mountains range from about 600 to 3200 feet.

Core zones include all steppe zones except the Palouse and those excluded by range limits.

Non-forested habitats, except disturbed annuals and sparse vegetation were good.
