Little River Boy

Journey's End

Chuck had given up on the whole art project after the famous Little River Boy disaster. Now he was into aquatic bugs. It was a little ironic that his new hobby was taking him to almost the same place that had been so troublesome to him nearly two weeks before. He could still see the looks on his classmates' faces after they found out he had chucked the project. Even though they seemed to absolutely despise the project, they all secretly loved it and were upset to hear that it had gone down the river without a sufficient paddle.

Little River Boy

As he remembers the disastrous events and mucking through the marshy mud he spots a wooden object sticking out of the gunk. When he waded over to the mysterious object, it suddenly became familiar.

"Little River Boy!! Whoop, whoop, woohoo!!!" he exclaimed ecstatically. "Wait 'til the kids at school hear about this!! I bet he's traveled the whole Little Spokane River."

Chuck wondered about the adventures that his wooden canoe had had, but he could have never imagined what had actually happened to his Little River Boy.
